Development Staff

Diane Shearer has been with the athletics department at Iowa State for over 35 years. She currently is the Development Coordinator and is responsible for being the first face and voice many Cyclone Club members see and hear. She assists Cyclone Club members with questions regarding Club levels, seating, parking and special events. Shearer also assists the Cyclone Club staff in processing donations, and she assists the Major Gifts staff.

Shearer moved into the Development Coordinator position in 2017. Prior to that, she was the Special Events Coordinator for the Cyclone Club for 24 years. Before that role, Shearer was an administrative assistant and started her career with Iowa State Athletics in the ticket office for three years.

Shearer is a graduate of the two-year administrative specialist program at Des Moines Area Community College. She and her husband, Don, have one daughter, Danielle (Jake) Earp. Diane is a native of Luther, Iowa, and she and Don currently reside in the countryside just southwest of Luther.
